Here’s ist zipper slider that is on the zipper chain but isn’t zipping the teeth together this usually happens to zipper sliders that see a lot of use and have become worn. If this isnt the problem you are experiencing with your zipper, here is another solution and tricks to help you solve your problem.

Here ist an example  of two zippers sliders the one here on the left ist worn and you can see that the bottom of the opening is wider than bran new zipper on the right.

When that happens the slider no longer putting enough pressure on the zipper teeth and thats whats happening here so well want to tighten that Gap to do that is simple. All  you need is some pliers preferably some smooth GW pliers as they won’t damage your zipper slider like pliers with serrated teeth, but if all you have are serrated tooth pliers you can use a piece of scrap Fabric or leather to pretect you slider.

To fix your slider take pliers and lightly squeeze on each side of the zipper when we’re doing this you’ll only want to focus on tighteing the back end of the zipper you dont want to tighten this too much just a little bit at a time and test it. If it isn’t working you, may need to tighten it some more.

Once you pull the slider forward and the teeth are close pull the zipper back the rest of the way it may take a little bit of extra Force. Now your slider ist zipping up your teeth properly. This technique will work with all metal zipper poles whether you have a coil metal or multitooth zipper chain. Thats finish, now you know how to easy fix a zipper.
